Curtis,

I think what you've done with your manifesto is a vast improvement since the last time we saw it in class. The previous form of your manifesto was a couple of paragraphs inside a thank you card. It was simple and beautiful, but I couldn't really hear your voice or your personality with the way those paragraphs were type-set. With your re-do, your beliefs and thoughts are made stronger through typography. When you were explaining this project to me, you mentioned that the type is designed in the way that you want them to be read. I think that it's a great way to show the reader which sentences holds the most importance to you and which words you want to put more emphasis on.

Straying away from the thank you card is also a great decision. Your manifesto itself is powerful enough that it can really be its own object without needing to be a supporting element of a "thank you" card. Your manifesto can be handed out because you want someone to have it not just because they did something you should thank them for.

My favorite line from your manifest to is:

"As a designer, it is important for me to be aware of the influence I have on others, but even more important for me to recognize the influence others have one me and to allow my self to be changed by these interactions"

I think that line really shows that you are willing to learn form others and willing to have others learn from you.
